In order to speed up the process of loading and unloading transported materials, as well as to reduce losses during transportation due to breakages, deterioration and deviations, containers were created. Containers are large boxes made of steel, aluminum and/or fiber, resistant and easy to handle, which are used to store goods for transportation, thus avoiding operational and financial losses.
Each container has the owner's mark, registration location, number, size, type, space definition and maximum weight it can hold.
Containers are modular and 20' containers are considered as 1 module, and are called TEU (Twenty Feet or Equivalent Unit), and serve as a standard for defining the size of container ships.
Over the years, due to market needs, different types of containers have emerged, such as: Standard, Refrigerated, Ventilated, Open Top, etc., according to the models and characteristics below:

Containers Refrigerated and INSULATED
Use: they are compatible for carrying any type of cargo that requires temperature control. Containers with their own refrigeration that can be connected to electrical networks to keep the product inside at a controlled temperature. This type of container is thermally insulated, with an aluminum floor and stainless steel internal walls. Examples of cargo: frozen meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, chocolate, chemicals and photographic film.

Weights Maximum Weight: 25,400 kg
Tare: 3,040 kg
Load: 22,360 kg
Others Cubic capacity: 28.3 m³
Use: they are highly separated and cooled by circulating cold air to control temperatures. They are the same as refrigerated containers, the difference is that insulated containers depend on a clip-on to work (a refrigeration machine that is attached to the insulated container). The new clip-on containers use HFC-134A gas, which does not attack the ozone layer and has a higher level of efficiency. Examples of cargo: meat, fish, fruit, etc.
